NOTICE OF TRUSTEESHIP PROCEEDINGS

To the Officers and Members of LIUNA Local 2:

I am writing to provide you with formal notice that pursuant to Article IX, Section 7 of the LIUNA Constitution and Section 3 of the LIUNA Ethics and Disciplinary Procedure, the GEB Attorney is commencing proceedings to assure that the emergency Trusteeship imposed on LIUNA Local 2 on May 24, 1999 remains in place. The reasons and constitutional grounds for this action are set forth in the May 24, 1999 letter to officers and members of LIUNA Local 2 and in the Complaint for Trusteeship, which was included with the May 24, 1999 letter and which was filed with [he LIUNA Independent Hearing Officer (“IHO”).
The IHO will preside over a hearing to determine the propriety of the Trusteeship at the following time and place,

Time: �� Tuesday, June 15, 1999 at 6:30 p.m – 10:30 p.m., and continuing, if

necessary, on Junc 16 and June 17, 1999.

You all have a right, and are welcome, to attend the hearing and to present any relevant evidence to the IHO.
