Sam’s family lived upstairs in an upper-middle-class home on the West Side, and downstairs, DeStefano maintained a torture chamber for mob hit victims.

His brother, Mario DeStefano, lived in Cicero. That’s where DeStefano murdered one of his victims, a juice collector and associated name Leo Foreman, who was Jewish, in November, 1963. Used an ice pick 20 times, with help from his brother, Tony DeStefano, and his friend, Chuckie Crimaldi.
